       MOTTO: “CALIBRATE CHARACTERISE CONTROL”

The Department has a well equipped Process ontrol Laboratory. The laboratory is supervised by competent faculty members and instructors. Necessary Hardware is available for measurement, characterization and synthesis of the Process control Systems. PC based experimental facilities are also available.

The main focus of the lab is to design and implement controllers for different processes and also modeling of the process elements in such a way that the system provides an optimum performance.

The experiments conducted in the laboratory impart training and practical testing of the equipments which offer students the right kind of exposure and provide them ample opportunity to apply their knowledge in practical scenarios.

As this lab provides an industrial environment extreme care is taken by faculties to direct the students in each and every step.

This also lab provides servicing of various instruments and calibration of the same. They give the shape and accuracy of instruments which inturn reflects the designer's quality and accuracy. This provides real-time understanding of various instruments -working principle along with real-time construction and makes the basic concepts more clear.

Infrastructure:
  • DCS Workstation
  • Temperature process trainer
  • Pressure process trainer
  • Flow process trainer
  • Level process trainer
  • Programmable logic controller with computer interface
  • System to study control valve characteristics
  • Multi process station
  • Bourdon Gauge
  • U-tube manometer
